UPCT is a public entity with legal status and its own assets to fulfill its purposes and to perform its duties autonomously, in accordance with current legislation.
Providing public service of higher education through research, teaching and study, in accordance with the principles of freedom, solidarity and ideological plurality corresponds to UPCT.
2. CONDITIONS OF ACCESS AND USE:
This website use and access conditions are regulated by the current legislation and by the good faith principle, and the user commits to make good use of this web. All those acts which infringe the law, rights or interests of third parties are prohibited: right to privacy, data protection, intellectual property etc. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Perform actions on the website or through it which may produce any damage to UPCT systems or to those of third parties.
- Perform without due authorization any type of advertising or commercial information directly or covertly, sending mass emails or sending large messages in order to block servers from the network.
UPCT reserves the right to undertake the actions it deems appropriate against that user who makes illegal use of this portal, contrary to good faith or to these general conditions.
3. OBJECT OF THE ON-LINE RECEIPT MANAGEMENT SERVICE:
The purpose of this service is the on-line payment of receipts for academic services issued by UPCT. Using this service implies acceptance of its Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, do not access any of the pages of this UPCT Payment Portal.
Any use of this Service for a purpose other than that contained in this section is forbidden, as is using it for illegal purposes, or uses that harm or prevent its functioning, or may damage and / or overload the Service.
4. REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICIES:
Reasons for claiming the amount paid for contracted services, due to mistake or disagreement with the requested, as well as the procedure to follow in case of refund or claim, shall be subject to the terms laid down in the UPCT regulations for provision of academic services object of the payments, and in the price system in effect at the time of the contracted service.
5. ELECTRONIC PAYMENT METHODS:
UPCT informs that they use a secure payment gateway which guarantees the integrity of communications through safe media, and that payment is made according to the security protocol 3D SECURE: the system has been developed by VISA and MasterCard, to allow authentication of cardholders during online purchases, thus reducing the likelihood of fraudulent use of the cards. The authentication mechanisms are defined by the entity issuing the payment card.
UPCT does not store, process or transmit the payment data relating either to the card itself or the owner of the same: card number, cardholder name, expiry date, service code, electronic signature or authentication code of the holder, magnetic stripe on the card or bank account associated with the card.
We accept payment by credit and debit cards Maestro, MasterCard, Visa and Visa Electrón.
The card holder understands that the card must correspond to a bank account with sufficient funds so that the amount to be paid can be charged, and that the card must be enabled by the issuing bank for use in online payments.
6. USER’S MINIMUM AGE AND TRANSACTION CURRENCY:
The minimum age to apply for the services provided in this payment portal is 18 years. The transaction currency of the services contracted will be the euro (€).
7. EXEMPTION FROM LIABILITY:
UPCT will not be responsible in cases where access to the website is not possible due to malfunction of the site or any of its services, accidental circumstances, maintenance stops, or any other case not attributable to the University. Likewise, we are not responsible for the possible damages caused by computer viruses or malicious programs, whose absence cannot be guaranteed, although the necessary technical measures will be taken to avoid them.
8. PRIVACY STATEMENT OF DATA USE AND ARCO RIGHTS
You are informed that, in compliance with Regulation UE 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council of April 27th 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing and free movement of personal data, your data is processed by General Secretary of UPCT-Plaza del Cronista Isidoro Valverde s/n- Rectorate Building 30202. UPCT is entitled to the processing of personal data based on the provisions of Article 6.1 c) and e) of the General Data Protection Regulation. Your personal data will be processed in order to meet and verify your request, as well as for the accounting and billing management of the university.
You can exercise the main rights of access, modification, cancellation, opposition, limitation, and portability by written communication, and attaching a photocopy of the ID, addressed to the General Registry, (Rectorate Building, Plaza Cronista Isidoro Valverde S / N, 30202) or through the University's Electronic Office https://sede.upct.es.
